See You Again... This Year!!

The film program showcases Latino and global youth themed art films including shorts, animations, documentaries, and full-length feature films for children ages three to eighteen free of charge. The project concept is based on utilizing art cinema as a powerful agent of change by exposing youth to films that nurture innovative and critical thinking, celebrate imagination, and promote positive cultural/human values that empower them to reach their fullest potential.

This year’s program will introduce a new film series called “Funamation” for youth ages 8 to 18 that includes some of the most engaging, enchanting and amazing animation films from around the globe.  In addition, we will continue to have the “Tiny Tots” (ages 3 to 7) and “Young Globetrotters” (ages 8 to 18) series that include films from Latin America, Somalia, India, Canada and the U.S.

Films are selected through extensive research including award winners and favorites at major children’s film festivals around the globe.  In addition, we have carefully categorized films by age appropriateness into two-tier groups that includes ages: 3-7 and 8-18.  All films screened have been thoroughly vetted to ensure content is free of violence, profanity, sexual promiscuity, and cultural or racial biases.
