NewsHARTFORD PUBLIC SCHOOLS - SPOTLIGHT ON EXCELLENCE Issue 17, 10/12/12Now in its third year, we are honored to organize this two day film festival taking place on October 19 – 20, 2012. The program showcases Latino and global youth themed art cinema including shorts, animations, documentaries, and full-length feature films exclusive for youth ages three to eighteen free of charge. The project concept is based on utilizing visual arts as a powerful medium to expose inner city youth to films that nurture creativity, critical thinking, celebrate imagination, and promote positive cultural/human values that empower them to reach their fullest potential.
